Not getting the certificate for QBD process

Last Updated: May 29, 2018 03:40PM CDT
If you have tried importing the Quickbooks Desktop (QBD) Plugin and just not getting the certificate to come up to allow access for Tax1099 to pull the data from QBD, please read below. There are a couple of steps that are required for this to work properly:
  1. Did you disable your antivirus software/program temporarily prior to installing the plugin? This is a new step required for our plugin this year.
    1. If not, please UNINSTALL THE PLUGIN
      1. Navigate to your computer's Add/Remove Program or Apps & Features page.
        • You can see this by going to Home > Settings > Apps and Features in Windows.
      2. Search and Find the program/app named QB Plugin and QBFC Plugin.
      3. Click or right-click on the program/app named QB Plugin and QBFC Plugin and then select "Uninstall."
      4. Confirm that you want to uninstall the program/app in the popup window.
      5. When complete, you will receive a message that the program/app has been
      6. uninstalled.
    2. Then install the plugin again. (see instructions here for the full process)
    3. If you did disable, go to the next option to see if this is the case...
  2. When you opened QB after installing the plugin, did you right mouse click and choose Run as Administrator?  If not, you will need to do that again and look for the certificate again to see if it shows up this time. If it doesn’t automatically pop up, try these steps.
    1. If you don't have the option that says 'Run as Administrator' then you may need to unpin your icon from the task bar. Then search in Programs and right mouse click to see if it's there

Please let us know if this doesn't help fix the problem. Thanks!
