Two-Factor Authentication

At, we take security very seriously. One feature we have implemented is called the Two-Factor Authentication, which creates an extra layer of security. If someone were to get ahold of your password to Tax1099, they would have to have your phone to get your security code. To activate this feature, follow these steps:

1. Log into your Tax1099 account
2. In the top right corner, click on Settings and choose Two-Factor Authentication
3. Click on Start Setup Now

4. You will see a QR code, asking for a google verification code. If you don't have the app, you will need to go to your phone's app store and search for Google Authenticator. It's free to download
5. Once you download the app and open it, press the + button -> Scan Barcode.
6. Use the app to scan the barcode on It will give you a 6 digit code. Enter that code.
7. Click on Enable TFA

How to turn off TFA:

1. Click on Settings and choose Two-Factor Authentication

2. Click on Disable TFA
